
Dr. Parkinson has been providing quality care to patients in Northwestern Wisconsin for more than 13 years. She attended the University of Iowa, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1986. She then returned to her home state to attend the University of Missouri-School of Medicine where she achieved top honors and received her medical degree. Dr. Parkinson completed her internship at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis and her residency in Dermatology at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis where she served as Chief Resident. Upon completion of her residency in 1993, she joined the Duluth Clinic, practicing in Ashland, WI.
In February of 2006, Dr. Parkinson established her own private practice, Parkinson Dermatology, S.C, after working for several years as a physician with both the Duluth and Marshfield Clinics.

Melanie Potaczek, PA-C
Melanie Potaczek, a Certified Physician Assistant, sees patients of all ages for general dermatology concerns. Along with the treatment of many skin conditions, Melanie helps to educate patients about their skin conditions and the prevention and early detection of skin cancer.
Melanie has a BS in Biology from Truman State University, Missouri and earned her bachelor's degree and certificate in the Physician Assistant Program from Des Moines University, Iowa. Prior to joining Parkinson Dermatology, she worked under the guidance of board certified dermatologists in the Kansas City area for more than seven years.
