Our dermatology patients are seen by appointment only. When possible, please notify our office 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel your appointment.
Despite our best efforts to see patients on schedule, emergencies occur, causing delays. You can help us maintain our appointment schedule by being on time for your appointment. Please be aware that if you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you may be required to reschedule. We will try to keep you informed about any changes in our appointment schedule. Should you have to wait, please know that we regret any inconvenience and ask for your understanding.
The relationship between Dr. Parkinson and her patients is confidential. It is a relationship based on mutual trust and understanding. Your medical records are absolutely private. No information about your condition will be given to employers, friends or relatives without your permission (except if required by a court of law). We want you to fully understand your condition and your treatment. If you do not understand something, please feel free to ask questions.
Please contact your pharmacy for any prescription refills. Your pharmacy will contact us with your request. Please allow at least 24 hours to process your request. Parkinson Dermatology will issue prescriptions and refills during our normal office hours.
Patients will be responsible for handling all mail-in pharmacy prescriptions. Our clinic has found this to be the most efficient and effective route.
You may request that we release your medical records to a third party, such as an insurance provider or an attorney. Before we release these records, you may be required to sign a form authorizing us to release this confidential information. Please be aware that our office may also charge a medical release fee.
Our charges for services, including office visits, procedures and surgery are based upon the severity and complexity of your condition, as well as the time spent treating you. Our staff will be glad to discuss our fees with you at your request.

A statement of fees is sent to you monthly. Regardless of your medical insurance coverage, our Clinic relies on you for settling your account. You are ultimately responsible for all fees relating to your care. Your health insurance policy is an agreement between you and your health insurance carrier. If your insurance carrier pays only a portion of our Clinic’s bill, the remaining balance due is your responsibility.
Payment for cosmetic procedures is expected either before or at the time of your appointment, depending on the procedure being performed.
If you are receiving a laser procedure that is considered a "cosmetic" treatment, you will be required to make a 50% minimum deposit at the time your appointment is made in order to secure your appointment. This deposit is required-- appointments will not be scheduled unless your deposit is received. The remaining balance for your procedure must be paid in full, at least one week prior to your laser appointment.
Laser services - Your deposit will be refunded if you cancel at least 10 days prior to the appoinment. However, if you cancel less than 10 days before your scheduled appointment, the deposit will not be refunded. The only exception to this policy would be cancelling/rescheduling due to bad weather. At the discretion of Parkinson Dermatology, SC, if bad weather occurs, your appointment may be rescheduled to the following month without losing any of your payment.
All products and/or services purchased from the Parkinson Dermatology, SC - Skin Care Center are cosmetic, therefore, payment is expected in full prior to receiving any product and/or service.
Parkinson Dermatology accepts all patients regardless of insurance coverage. If you currently have an insurance provider not contracted with Parkinson Dermatology, SC, you will be responsible for all incurred charges at the time of your visit. You will receive a 10% discount on your charges when paid in full at the time of your visit.
Parkinson Dermatology, SC contracts with a variety of health care insurance programs including Medicare & Medicaid, which aid in the payment of your medical costs. Your insurance cards must be presented to the receptionist at check-in time. If your policy involves a co-payment, the amount of co-payment must be made at the time of service.
Any account balance remaining after Medicare pays, will then be submitted to your secondary insurance (if any). Then, any balance after that will be the patient’s responsibility.
